Indian Summer Games @ North Meck Park in Huntersville
A fun way to beat the heat and enjoy some lax this summer!
Games will be played:
Monday and Wednesday evenings from June 27th through July 20th - 6:30-7:30pm
There will be a clinic for beginners the first two weeks (4 sessions) from 6-6:30pm
Players do not wear equipment, and a soft ball is used for this fast paced, exciting game!
Perfect for beginners and advanced level players.

Indian Summer Game Rules:
7 V 7 game, no goalies.
No equipment required other than a lacrosse stick that is between 36”-42” in length. Mouth guard, athletic cup, and cleats are recommended.
No contact. There will be no stick checks, nor body checks. Defensive players will mirror their opponent. Similar to interference with a goalie in the field game; contact with the stick of an opponent while in the throwing or shooting process is not allowed.
Soft Lacrosse size balls will be used.
4- 15 minute running time quarters. Referee will stop play every 5 minutes to allow for substitutions.
18 player maximum per team.
Field will be half the size of a regulation lacrosse field utilizing 4 x 4 box style goals.
There will be a 9’ diameter crease extending from the center of the end line. No player can enter the crease area, except to retrieve a ball after a goal is scored.
There will be a two point arc extending 30 ft in diameter from the end line. Goals scored from behind the two point arc will count for two goals instead of one.
A face off using the women’s lacrosse technique will be used to start the game and to start the second half. When a goal is scored, the team that was scored upon will retrieve the ball from their goal and clear it on the referee’s whistle.
There are three positions:
Chief-Two Chiefs will remain on the offensive half of the field.
Braveheart- Two Bravehearts will remain on the defensive half of the field.
Tomahawks- Three Tomahawks will be free to play the entire field.
